Electronic Cigarette Review – Blu Cigs Review
Here we go again, some more free time to write another electronic cigarette review, I wonder how long it will take me to get tired of doing this? This is only my second and ive got a few more to do, lets hope it isn’t soon.
The Blu Cigs are really cheap, so it was a bit of a impulse buy really, I had heard some good things about it and the accessories, then when I saw the price I just had to buy it.
Blu Cigs Review
The first thing you will notice when you visit the Blu Cigs website is that it is really nicely laid out, modern and really welcoming, this is one thing I like in a website, especially if I’m going to buy something from it. I think its just a mental thing, but I really don’t like buying things from companies I don’t know if their site is really cluttered and messy, so its a good start. I’ll also add that their shipping times are really pretty good as well, my Blu cig was with me only a few days after placing my order, once I order something I hate waiting around, I get all excited like a kid at Christmas! So quite delivery times are a bonus.
Whats In The Box?
When my Blu cig first arrived I was impressed with the packaging, its just like the website, clean and stylish, they are clearly very focused on their companies appearance and the appearance of their product. When we open up the box we are greeted with the usual things like a manual, a quick start guide, a wall charger, a USB charger, two batteries, two atomizers and a box of cartridges. As well as all of this we also get the Blu Pack.
The Blu pack is something that no other smokeless cigarette company offers. On the outside it just looks like a regular E cig box, but not only can it carry your E cigarette and five cartridges, it can also hold your spare battery and charge it at the same time. You can plug this pack into your wall or UBS port using the regular chargers and you can charge it up, this charge is enough to recharge your spare battery about 6 times. Depending on how often you use your Blu cig this could mean only charging the Blu pack up once or twice a week. If I’m honest this is one of the main reasons I wanted to try the Blu Cigs and after using it for a while you feel like there is something missing when you go on to use any other smokeless cigarettes, its a great piece of kit!
All of this great kit comes in at a staggeringly low price of $69.95, if you ask me that’s a hell of a bargain.
Looks
You can buy the Blu Cig in either black or white, I opted to go for the white, everything these days comes in white so I thought I would keep on following the trend. The first thing you will notice is that the Blu cig is really small, quite a bit smaller than the Luci and the Green Smoke cigarettes anyway. These smokeless cigarettes come in a three piece construction, there is the battery, atomizer and the cartridge, unlike the two piece design of the Green Smoke, this means that the atomizer doesn’t get changed every time you renew the cartridge, you do get a spare atomizer in the starter kit, so these should last the average user a good length of time.
Using The Blu Cig
Now on to how the Blu smokeless cigarette is to use. This is by far the most important aspect of all smokeless cigarettes and it is where the Blu cig kind of lets itself down, well, I don’t know if lets itself down is the right way to put it, I’ll try and explain what I mean. When you take a drag from the Blu cig you do get quite a good amount of vapor, I found that to get the best out of it you need to take a shorter drag first, a sort of primer, followed by a longer, slow drag. Don’t just barge in and try and get a massive lung full of vapor right away, it doesn’t seem to work. If you used the Blu cig on its own you would be pretty pleased with the results, but since I’m writing this after having used the Green Smoke cigarette I have to say that it just doesn’t produce enough vapor for me. I’m not saying it isn’t a good product, not at all, you are still getting a great nicotine hit from it and its easy to use, but a little bit more vapor would be fantastic.
Having said that the vapor is a bit of a let down, the refill cartridges bring the Blu cig right back up again. You get a great little selection of different flavors with the starter kit which include (including wonderful names) Cherry Crush, Magnificent Menthol, Java Jolt, Classic Tobacco and Vivid Vanilla. The flavors really are very good, out of this selection I have to say the cherry flavor is the best of the bunch, but as I have said before I love a coffee flavored E cigarette in the morning with my coffee to wake me up, so the Java Jolt gets a thumbs up too.
Not only are the flavors great tasting they really make my wallet happy. They come in cartons of 25 cartridges and one of these cartons will cost only $25, this is for either one specific flavor or a variety pack with a sample of each of them in it. One of these cartridges is equal to about 10 or 15 regular cigarettes, depending on how you use your cigarette. If you are pretty easy on the cartridges then a pack of 25 refills is the same as 375 regular cigarettes, for $25 that’s incredible value.

Replacement Parts
Another thing that makes up for the average vapor is the availability and cost of replacement parts, while a lot of companies charge you an arm and a leg if you need to get a new battery or atomizer, Blu are the polar opposite. If you need to replace your battery it costs you $9.95. If you need to replace the atomizer, you get two for $9.95. If you need to replace both the USB and wall chargers, you get both for $9.95. And if you need to replace that fantastic Blu pack, guess what, its $9.95. Couple this with the massively cheap refill cartridges and the super cheap starter kit then Blu are at the absolute top of the game when it comes to affordability.
To sum it all up, while Blu smokeless cigarettes are not right at the very top of the game they are only a tiny little bit off of being there. The vapor might not be the greatest, but it is still very acceptable and if you haven’t tried the Green Smoke cigarette then it would be pretty impressive. Because the starter kit only costs $69.95 and both the refill cartridges and the spare parts are so cheap, Blu Cigs are absolutely perfect if you are just starting out with smokeless cigarettes or if you are on a tight budget.
